Kansas 250 Bookshelf
You're invited to celebrate America's 250 birthday and explore the Kansas 250 Bookshelf, created by the State Library of Kansas to highlight the literary achievements and history of the Sunflower State.
The Kansas 250 Bookshelf was built in support of America 250 and the Kansas 250 Commission. You'll find Kansas Notable Books, written by or about Kansans, that have been recognized for excellence and are widely available in Kansas libraries.
Each month, the KS250 Bookshelf will display a themed reading list, program ideas and partnership suggestions. We hope you and your community will join the celebration and create your own KS250 Bookshelf displays using the suggested Notable Books and material from your local collections.

The State Library is creating unique material to help libraries promote this statewide initiative. When ready, it will be available here to download and print.
