Share NFB-NEWSLINE® with Friends and Family

Know someone who struggles to read because of blindness, low vision or other challenges?

The State Library of Kansas can help with FREE programs such as NFB-NEWSLINE® and Talking Books. Eligible Kansans can access hundreds of newspapers and magazines with NFB-NEWSLINE® by phone, mobile app or smart speaker. Talking Books offers thousands of books and materials, so everyone can stay informed and connected.

What is NFB-NEWSLINE®? 

NFB-NEWSLINE® is a free audio and braille service
providing access to current and reliable information from
local and national sources.

NFB-NEWSLINE® features more than 500 publications:

  • National, state and international newspapers
  • Breaking news sources
  • Emergency weather alerts
  • Magazines
  • Television listings and retail ads
  • Job listings.

Subscribers to NFB-NEWSLINE® can access the information a variety of ways:

  • Touch-tone telephone
  • Website
  • Apple iOS mobile app
  • Amazon Alexa smart speakers
  • Digital Talking Book player or compatible device

NFB-NEWSLINE® offers a full access account and a limited access account for minors.
